FAQs

Learn more about KVB Soccer Consulting

& the college soccer recruiting process

  • Who is KVB Soccer consulting for?

We work with high school aged girls and their parents and help navigate the college soccer recruiting process. Whether you're just starting out, actively contacting coaches, or narrowing down your college options, we are here to support you. We also work with parents and help them learn how to guide and support their athlete.

  • What makes your consulting different from other services?

Our approach is personalized. We have been there, getting recruited and doing the recruiting. We provide honest guidance based on each student-athlete’s goals and we understand that everyone’s situation and needs are different. The ultimate goal is for you, the student-athlete to find the right fit and have the least amount of stress throughout the entire process - so you can focus on what is the most important - playing soccer!

  • When should I start working with a consultant like Kim?

The earlier the better! Starting in 8th, 9th, or 10th grade gives us time to build a strong foundation, but we also work with juniors and seniors who need focused support quickly. We offer different types of packages based on the level of involvement you need. Please reach out if you are interested in something more custom than what is listed under services.

  • What do sessions include?

Depending on your package, sessions may include recruiting timelines, ID camp and showcase prep, help with coach emails, phone calls and highlight videos, school list development, and weekly/monthly check-ins to track progress.

  • Do you help parents too?

Yes! We offer support for families to better understand the recruiting process, communicate effectively with their athlete, and ask the right questions when visiting schools.

  • How do I get started?

You can get started 3 different ways: you can book your free 25-minute consult, book a package and schedule your first session, or reach out via email at kim@kvbsoccer.com - we can’t wait to connect!

  • Can I schedule a consultation before committing?

Absolutely. We offer a free introductory call to learn about your goals and determine how we can best support you.

  • Do you only work with athletes looking to play Division I?

Absolutely not. We help athletes explore all levels, D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and NJCAA, to find the best academic and athletic fit. Our main goal is that you fine the RIGHT fit, in order to have a successful and enjoyable college career.

  • Do you contact college coaches on a player's behalf??

No. We do not reach out to college coaches directly for players. Instead, we empower student-athletes with the tools, strategies, and confidence to manage their own communication. We’re happy to collaborate with club or personal coaches when helpful, but we believe the most effective recruiting relationships are built directly between players and college programs.

  • How does pricing work?

Pricing for all packages is listed in the services section of the website. All packages are to be paid in full once a decision to purchase is made. The Full Journey Package depends on high school graduation year, please contact for that option.

If none of the listed packages suit your needs, please reach out.

  • Do you help with the college-to-pro transition too?

Yes. For athletes interested in playing professionally, we provide insight into the NWSL, overseas leagues agents and what to expect from contracts, salaries, and lifestyle.

  • What happens if you commit before your package is finished?

The ultimate goal of our work together is to help you find your college soccer fit and make your commitment, so if that happens before your package officially ends, that’s a win! Once you’ve committed, your package shifts into a light, post-commitment phase.

This means we’ll stay available for occasional check-ins, advice, or next-step guidance (like communicating with your future coach or preparing for college), but there won’t be regular meetings or the same level of involvement as before.
